Gurudwara Sri Guru Arjan Dev Ji Panj Peer Sahib, Shankar
Gurdwara Sri Panj Peer Sahib is located between the villages of Shakar and Sarih next to the railway line.
Gurdwara Sri Panj Peer Sahib marks the site where Sri Gur Arjan Sahib Ji and other Sikhs stopped to rest while travelling to Mao Sahib.
Mao Sahib was where Mata Ganga lived with her family and this was where Guru Arjan was married.
Guru Arjan planted the Phalahi tree which still exists in the Gurdwara complex.
A fair to mark Guru Arjan’s visit is organised at the end of June, beggining of July, each year.
