This Gurdwara is situated at a distance of 2 Km North of town Bhikhi and 19 Km from Mansa City on Mansa-Sunam Road in Village Samau.
Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji visited this place during his journey of the Malwa region.
When Guru Ji reached this place, he was given a message that Sikhs from Kabul and Peshawar were coming to pay homage. Guru Ji stopped here and sat under a van tree.
The Sikhs arrived singing kirtan and fell at Guru Ji's feet. Guru Tegh Bahadur blessed the Sikhs.
A farmer who was working in his fields nearby, saw all this and brought bread and milk as an offering to Guru Ji.
Guru Tegh Bahadur distributed bread and milk among the Sikhs and blessed the farmer saying, 'You shall always have large amounts of milk in your house'. The Gurdwara was constructed at the place where Guru Tegh Bahadur sat. The Van tree still exists.
When Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji was coming from Khivan Kalan on his way to Bhikhi, he was informed that Sikhs from Peshawar and Kabul were coming to meet him. Guruji stopped under the van tree at the place, which marks the site of the Gurdwara. Mats were spread out to receive the sangat. The Sikhs arrived singing holy hymns, bowed before the Guru and received his blessings. A peasant ploughing his field nearby struck by the sense of pious Devotion went to Guruji and placed humbly before him his simple food of bread and buttermilk. The Guru took some of the food and shared the rest with the Sikh sangat. Guruji blessed the peasant with the words Milk shall always abound in thy house. A memorial Shrine was constructed under the Van tree where the Guru sat. The main annual functions are Prakash Divas of Guru Gobind Singh Ji and Shahidi Gurpurab of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji.
