This Gurdwara is situated at a distance of 12 Km from Patiala City, 3 Km from Bahadurgarh town and 10 Km from Ghanauri Khera town on Patiala-Ghanaur Road in Village Raipur.
When Ninth Sikh Guru, Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji started his journey in 1675 from Anandpur Sahib towards Delhi for martyrdom, he reached Saifabad (now Bahadurgarh) via Kiratpur - Bharatgarh - Ropar - Mukaronpur - Kabulpur - Kanheri.
Guru Ji was accompanied by Bhai Mati Das Ji, Bhai Sati Das Ji, Bhai Dyala Ji, Bhai Gurditta Ji, Bhai Udai Rathore Ji and Bhai Jaita Ji. Guru Ji stayed at Saifabad for 3 Months and 9 Days.
It was during his stay at Saifabad that Guru Ji blessed Village Raipur by his visit and Gurdwara Manji Sahib Patshahi IX was constructed in the memory of Guru Ji's visit.
