This Gurdwara is situated at a distance of 15 Km from Mukatsar City on Kotkapura-Mukatsar Road in Village Sarai Nagaan.
Earlier this Village was known as 'Matte De Sarai' . The Second Sikh Guru, Shri Guru Angad Dev Ji was born here in 1504. His Father's name was Bhai Pheru Mall Ji and Mother's name was Nihal Dae Ji. Guru Ji spent 11 Years of his childhood at this place. When Babur's forces attacked this Village , they killed Chaudhry Takhat Mall, who used to rule over 70 Villages. The Villagers went to far off places. Guru Angad Dev Ji went to Khadoor Sahib with his parents
This Gurdwara commemorates the birth of Sri Guru Angad Sahib Ji who was born to Baba Pheru Mal and Mata Sabharee (Guru Angad's mother is known by a few different names).
Guru Angad spent the first 11 years of his life here before moving to Khadoor Sahib.
