This Gurdwara is situated at a distance of 7 Km from Bilga Railway Station and 16 Km West of Phillaur town on Phillaur-Talwan Road in Village Powadra.

The Seventh Sikh Guru, Shri Guru Har Rai Ji made a brief halt at this place, while on his way from Kartarpur and NurMahal towards Malwa region.

Sri Guru Har Rai Sahib Ji arrived here at Powadra, from Nurmehal, at the request of the local sangat.

The villagers gave Guru Har Rai great respect and provided Guru Ji with everything he needed. In return Guru Har Rai said the villagers should stay in 'Anand' and be content.

Afterwards, Guru Har Rai continued his travels in the Malwa region.
