Gurudwara Sri Chaubara Sahib is situated in the Machiwara Sahib town in Ludhiana district. The Tenth Patshah came to this place from Gurudwara Charan Kanwal Sahib. This attic belonged to gulaba & Punjaba who used to supply ration to Guru ji at Anandpur Sahib. On request of these brothers, Guru ji came to there house. Mata herdeyi, who used to offer a hand made clothing every year to Guru ji at Anandpur Sahib, was not able to offer at Sri anadpur Sahib the clothing from quite sometime due to her old age. Mata ji offered the clothing & satGuru ji made Mata ji happy & accepted the offering. Pathan gani khan nabi khan also lived in the same city, who used to offer horse to satguru ji at Anandpur Sahib. When they came to know that satGuru ji had come to their city, both brothers took satGuru ji to there house & served him a lot. In search of satGuru ji, the army of the enemy, while following satGuru ji, reached machhiwara. Gani khan nabi khan after discussing decided to make satGuru ji as uch da peer & take far away. Gani khan nabi khan gave the clothing, which was offered by Mata ji, to the dyer in order to get it colored but the dyer said that the color is not ready yet as it raw yet. SatGuru ji asked gani khan nabi khan to tell the dyer that the color is ready, put the clothing, it will surely be colored. The same thing happened. The clothing got dyed much better than earlier. The dyer fell at Guru ji's feet. Guru ji blessed the dyer & said that he just needs to add water & put clothes in it. No need to add color, satGuru ji will bless. That matt (a large earthen pot) still exists at Gurudwara Sahib for the followers to see.
