This Gurdwara is situated in Basti Sheikh area of Jalandhar City. Earlier Basti Sheikh was a Village which has been merged with the City.
The Sixth Sikh Guru, Shri Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji visited this place on the request of a Sufi saint known as Shaikh Darvesh. Guru Ji had discussions with the Saint at the place where Bhora sahib is situated. At this place a Ramgarhia Kundi Family requested Guru Ji to visit their house. Guru Ji accepted their request , went to their house where he was offered food. This Gurdwara is situated near Gurdwara Shri VI Patshahi , Basti Sheikh.
Gurudwara Sri Charan Kanwal Sahib is situated in the basti sheikh area of Jalandhar city in Jalandhar district. Miri piri de malak Sri Guru HarGobind Sahib ji accepting the request of sheikh darvesh visited this place. At the place where Sri bhora Sahib is situated, Guru Sahib had discussion with sheikh ji. Near to this place is situated Gurudwara Sri Patshahi Chevin. Sheikh had blindfolded his eyes so that he can swear in front of mughal authorities that he hadn't seen Guru Sahib.

At the place where Sri Bhora Sahib is situated, Guru Sahib had a discussion with the Sheikh. The Sheikh knowing that the mughal authorities might question him concerning his meeting with the Guru is said to have taken the time to put on a blindfold, during the meeting, so that he could 'honestly' swear that he had never laid eyes on the Sikh Guru.
