In the 1950's there were only two Sikh families residing in Jinjang, Kuala Lumpur and they were engaged in farming. Sardar Tota Singh of Village Jamel Singh Walla and his family decided to set up a Gurdwara Sahib in his residential premises.
The foundation stone of this Gurdwara Sahib was laid by Baba Tehal Singh from the BatarT. Berjuntai Gurdwara Sahib in early 1969. Sant Baba Sohan Singh Ji of Malacca officially declared open this Gurdwara Sahib by raising the Nishan Sahib on 29'h July 1969.
There are presently about 50 Sikh families who participate in the religious activities of this Gurdwara Sahib.
Weekly prayers are held on Saturday evenings. The Isteri Satsang programme is held on Thursday evenings.
