Rohtas is a village in district Jhelum, just 10 kilometers south of Dina a town on GT road. It is famous for the fort built here my great king Sher Shah Suri in mid 16th century.

Mata Sahib Kaur Ji was born in Rohtas Village settled within Rohtas Fort in the family of Bhai Ramu Bassi. She was married to Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji on 18th Visakhi, Samvat 1757.
